Student Body — Solihull Sixth Form College

Student Body

The College is dedicated towards education for 16-19 year olds. Because we specialise in that stage of education our teaching and support staff have expert knowledge to deliver really first class provision.

The College has approximately 2,200 students, which makes Solihull Sixth Form College one of the largest sixth form colleges in the country. However, with each student having an academic coach to guide them and access to a range of support services, you need not feel concerned that you will not get the attention you need to succeed.

Student Body

The student body is a diverse community, with students coming to us from all over Solihull, South Birmingham and beyond. We believe that our diversity provides a rich environment in which all our students can thrive.

Furthermore, we believe that the College is an excellent stepping stone between the school environment and the much more independent surroundings of university and employment. Indeed, we think that the transition between college and higher education or employment is made easier by coming to an institution like this.

Students at the College are represented by a Student Council. The role of Student Council is to represent student views and to help the College be responsive to what students want and need to make their time here happy and productive. Each year the Council will involve itself in charity work, will feed back student concerns and will organize social events.
