Announcements

Regular updates will be added to this page about key dates and events relevant to your son or daughter. A College Update PDF is also emailed out to parents on a regular basis from the Principal – make sure we have the correct email address for you so you don’t miss out on these updates. Students can update their profile to make sure we are contacting the correct email addresses.

Access Arbor

You can access information about your son or daughter and keep track of their progress at College on Arbor. Look out for an email to get set up on the system.

Recording of Attendance and Punctuality

  • We operate an electronic registration system. Attendance is recorded for every timetabled class and students can report their absence via the Student Portal.
  • If learners arrive after the start of the lesson they will receive a late mark. The number of minutes students are late will be recorded on the register.
  • If there are issues with attendance and punctuality, teachers will discuss this with learners through a formal intervention (FI). If the issues continue this may lead to a Middle Leader Intervention 9MLI) and on to a Senior Leader Intervention (SLI). Parents/carers will be involved. The ultimate sanction is exclusion from College.
  • If there are extenuating reasons for absence, we encourage learners and to talk these through with their Academic Coach.

Reporting of Absence

  1. The College should be informed early on the first day of absence via the Student Portal.
  2. If you are unable to register your absence online please telephone us on 0121 704 2581 and provide the following information: name, date of birth, coaching set group and reason for and length of absence. Where there is concern about the authenticity of a message, the College will seek confirmation of the absence by phone or email.

Parental Access to Arbor: Parents/carers can access information about their young person on Arbor. Call 0121 704 2581 if you do not have login details. Regular updates with Key Assessment grades and attendance data are emailed to parents every half-term.
