Open Evening Tickets Available — Solihull Sixth Form College

Open Evening Tickets Available

Following the success of Open Day in October, Solihull Sixth Form College is throwing open its doors again in November for an Open Evening for prospective students and their families and tickets for the event are going fast.

Open Evening takes place from 5.00 – 8.00pm (last entry at 7.00pm) on Wednesday 22 November and free tickets are available for timed-entry from Eventbrite through the College website at https://www.solihullsfc.ac.uk/applying/open-days. All prospective learners must be accompanied by a parent, carer or other adult.

Teachers from all curriculum areas will be available to talk to visitors about our range of A level, BTEC and T level courses and answer questions. Current students will also be available to offer an insight into the step up from GCSE to level 3 learning, including offering advice on the independent learning strategies they employ to excel in their studies.

At the Open Evening, the Principal Dr Martin Sullivan will be delivering talks every hour (at 5.30pm, 6.30pm and 7.30pm) to give learners, parents and carers an insight into the benefits of choosing Solihull Sixth Form College. Support staff and the Student Council will be on hand to talk to visitors about the support services we offer, including careers guidance, academic coaching, additional learning support, admissions, student welfare and financial support. Representatives from a number of universities will also be present, providing an opportunity to discuss what Higher Education options are open to learners after they have completed their sixth form studies.

College Principal Dr Martin Sullivan commented:

“The October Open Day was a huge success, with large numbers of young people visiting our campus and all the tickets getting booked up several days before the event. It was great to see what a popular destination Solihull Sixth Form College is for aspiring level 3 learners. We look forward seeing more members of our local community at the Open Evening and urge prospective learners and parents to book places as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”
