Book to Attend Open Evening

Following the success of the October Open Day, Solihull Sixth Form College is now taking bookings for their Open Evening in November, offering prospective learners and their families the opportunity to see what post-16 options are available.

Open Evening takes place from 5.00 – 8.00pm (last entry at 7.30pm) on Wednesday 23 November and tickets are available for timed-entry from Eventbrite through the College website. All prospective learners must be accompanied by a parent, carer or other adult.

Teachers and current learners from all curriculum areas will be available to talk to visitors about our range of A level, BTEC and T level courses and answer questions. This includes the brand-new T level course in Education & Childcare, which is launching in September 2023.

At the Open Evening, the Principal Dr Martin Sullivan will be delivering talks every hour (at 5.30pm, 6.30pm and 7.30pm) to give learners and parents and carers an insight into the benefits of choosing Solihull Sixth Form College. Support staff and the Student Council will be on hand to talk to visitors about the support services we offer, including careers guidance, academic coaching, additional learning support, admissions, student welfare and financial support. Representatives from seven universities will also be present, providing an opportunity to discuss what Higher Education options are open to learners after they have completed their sixth form studies.

College Principal Dr Martin Sullivan commented:

“The October Open Day was a huge success, with large numbers of Year 11 learners and parents/carers visiting our campus.
