Adam Prince
Staff Governor
I put myself forward for the role of Staff Governor as I am passionate about the College and what the future holds for the students and staff involving in the College. As a former student and now teacher at the College for the last seven years I feel I am in a perfect position to help support the College moving forward as we hopefully have more learners over the next few years and expand along with the new build.
As a Union representative alongside my teaching role, this has allowed me the chance to speak to colleagues across the college and discuss various issues. As part of this role, I have been to JSG meetings and Health and Safety Meetings, which involved me putting my views across to the meeting when required and analysing the information being put to the meeting.
Over the course of my time at the College as a teacher I have developed into being a reliable member of the Mathematics department, resulting in me now being part of the leadership group for the Mathematics department. This time has taught me a lot about myself and has given me the opportunity to develop my skills as I have continued to show a desire to learn and better myself.
The time I have spent at the College has been whilst the College has been in transition from requires improvement, and I share the drive to continually develop staff and students to reach the end objectives so that everybody leaves the College having succeed in their own way.
