Welcome to College Day

Welcome to College Day

Every student with an offer to study at the College has been invited to attend a taster day in July. For those hoping to join the College in September 2026, this event will take place on Thursday 2 July 2026.

Students have booked onto subject taster sessions to get an idea of what it will be like to study that course. This will aid students in ensuring they are making the best decisions for their futures. In addition, learners will be able to find out about our exciting range of enrichment options. There are more than 30 activities for students to choose from, giving learners a chance to develop vital skills, make new friends and boost their post-college progression opportunities. Students will be asked to choose their enrichment option when they enrol in August, so taking this opportunity to learn more has helped with that decision. A link to download the Enrichment Guide can be found below.

What can you expect?

See what to expect from Welcome to College Day in the video below.

A Welcome to College Day Guide and an Enrichment Guide will be given to students attending this event.

Students will also need to complete a piece of summer homework for all the courses they are starting in September. This should be handed in during the first lesson in each course in September. We are in the process of adding the summer homework for each course below - for those courses without homework listed, please come back soon to check again. Completing this work will show teachers what level you are currently working at, so do the best you can to get off to a positive start in each of your courses.
