Netball Team Claim League Title
The Netball Team at Solihull Sixth Form College is celebrating winning the AoC (Association of Colleges) Sport Netball West Midlands League 3 title this season.

The 1st Netball team, captained by Abbie Wills, are unbeaten this season, having amassed more than 500 points in their 13 matches. Highlights include a 55-4 victory over Newcastle College and a 56-23 win against Stourport High School.
With an impressive record and a collective average of 19 goals ahead per match, the team has demonstrated strength, teamwork, and determination, making them a force to be reckoned with on the court. A key part of their success has been shooting. Abbie has been a standout performer, with a home game shooting average of 72%. She has been a consistent and reliable shooter, scoring 81% of the team’s total goals. Yara, Tabitha, Sophie, and Lily also made important contributions to the scoreboard, stepping up when needed to keep the team ahead.
Each player has played their part in making this season a success, whether through shooting accuracy, strong defence, precise midcourt play, or sheer determination. The energy and precision of Sophie and Jemima in the midcourt have been exceptional. In defence, Ros and Lily have been an unstoppable force. A special mention goes to Keira, who has shown outstanding commitment, resilience, and patience.

"I’m proud of the girls for their hard work and dedication this season. We have some gifted players, but most importantly they play together as a team and their efforts have been rewarded. They deserve this success."

"Following the recent news of the men’s 1st football team winning their league, I’m delighted to hear that the netball 1st team have also won silverware. Congratulations to all involved."
