Aspiring Dentist Aiming for Muay Thai Success

An aspiring dental student at Solihull Sixth Form College has been juggling his studies with martial arts and has just won his first Thai Boxing fight.

Aman Singh Bhaker is a second year learner on the BTEC Applied Science course and has aspirations to study Dental Hygiene and Therapy at university, whilst also progressing in his chosen sport. He has started well by defeating Tiago Cabral in his first high profile fight in the Elite Fighting Championship.

Aman commented:

"I started Muay Thai two years ago, because my older brother was into the sport and I found it very appealing. I started with the goal to learn how to fight as well as get into good shape.

"I'm pleased with my first win. My ambitions are to stick with the sport, keep training as much as I can and go as far as I can in the sport. I would love to succeed in the sport and perhaps become a professional Thai boxer."

Muay Thai or Thai Boxing is a form of martial arts in which fists, elbows, knees and bare feet can be used.
