“The Sixth Form College, Solihull was an excellent experience for my son. For a start, the College was so flexible in accommodating him in the first place. He came from a special needs school and they really took a gamble on him. I have always thought that my son just needed people to give him a chance and bend the rules a little bit, because he does have special needs. The College really co-operated with that. The Additional Support team were fantastic and really monitored his progress closely. The enablers are fantastic; they really cared for him and they kept in touch with me too, which was helpful. They gave us confidence. To have someone say they thought he could do it and achieve success was fantastic. I wasn’t sure my son would be able to achieve at A level, but he’s come out with some good results and those achievements will stand him in good stead in the future. He’s at Coventry University now, and he’s coping well. I’d say he really grew up at the Sixth Form College. He learned about doing his work on time, doing his revision and planning his time. I’m very grateful to the College, because I don’t think my son would be where he is today were it not for The Sixth Form College, Solihull.”
