Student Development Officers — Solihull Sixth Form College

Student Development Officers

The SDOs are a team who work closely with students in a number of ways, including support with student led societies, promoting charity fundraising events, delivering awareness campaigns and ensuring that the student voice is heard through the Student Council.

Furthermore, they deliver enrichments and support multi-faith prayer facilities at the College. The SDO’s arrange visits from external organisations who come into the College to offer information, guidance, and promote wider opportunities to students, such as health promotion services, volunteering and travel options.

The SDO’s provide informal support to students who are experiencing a wide range of challenges whilst studying at the college. These include support with exam stress, anxiety and managing the transition from school to sixth form.

The Student Development officers are based in the Refectory (H231). They are:

  • Tina Champion (SDO Coordinator)
  • Satveer Kaur (SDO)
  • Joanne Bown (SDO)
  • Ashfaq Ahmed (SDO)
  • Megan Eyers (SDO)
  • Jyoti Saimbi (SDO)
  • Anneka Dare (SDO)
