Following a highly successful Open Day on 13 October, The Sixth Form College, Solihull is preparing for an Open Evening on Thursday 15 November.
More than 1,200 prospective students attended the October Open Day, but for those unable to make it to that event, Open Evening is a second chance to learn about the College and its range of A level and BTEC courses. The College will be open from 5.00 – 8.00pm (last entry at 7.30pm) and all prospective students must be accompanied by a parent or other adult. Pre-registration is open and will remain open until 12.00pm on the day of the event.
Teachers and current students will be available in all curriculum areas at this event and staff will be available to discuss support services as well, including Careers, Employability, Admissions, Financial Support, Additional Learning Support and Academic Coaching. Six universities will be represented, including Aston, Birmingham, BCU, Coventry, Leicester, and Sheffield.
College Principal Martin Sullivan, who will be delivering talks at 5.30, 6.15 and 7.00pm, commented:
“We were delighted to meet so many enthusiastic young people at Open Day and we’re looking forward to welcoming more in for Open Evening. It’s a great opportunity for students to see our range of courses and get expert advice from our teachers. We are currently accepting applications for September 2019 and this event will help students to make informed choices.”
