The Sixth Form College, Solihull, part of the Ninestiles Academy Trust, is launching three new courses at it’s Open Day on Saturday 7 October.
New A levels in Geology and Philosophy, as well as a Level 3 Diploma in Criminology, will be launched to prospective students and parents at this event, which takes place between 9.30am and 3.30pm (last entry at 2.30pm) on 7 October. Information about what is taught in these and all the other A level and BTEC courses will be available, with teachers and current students on hand to talk to visitors.
Principal Martin Sullivan will be delivering presentations to prospective students and parents throughout the day and a number of universities will also be present, with representatives from Birmingham City, Leicester and Nottingham Universities all confirmed to be there to offer advice to young people on what courses they need to take with a particular career in mind.
Information about support services including Careers, Academic Coaching, Additional Learning Support, Welfare and Financial advice will also be available at the event.
College Principal Martin Sullivan commented:
“The Sixth Form College, Solihull has two open events in the autumn term, starting with this Open Day on 7 October. It’s a fantastic opportunity for young people to find out some of the options open to them when they finish Year 11. It’s a big decision to make and we want these students to be in possession of all the facts so that they can make informed choices. We will have lots of friendly staff and students to welcome our guests and answer their questions.”
Pre-registration for Open Day is open now. Those who are unable to attend this Open Day are welcome to attend Open Evening on Thursday 9 November (5.00pm – 8.00pm, last entry at 7.30pm). Pre-registration for the November event will open on Monday 9 October. For both events, all prospective students must be accompanied by a parent or other adult.
