Staff and students at Solihull Sixth Form College have been raising money for charity by supporting Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
£132 was raised by selling cakes and bakes in the College Refectory and Staff Room. The Student Development Officers worked hard to ensure a great selection of delicious treats were available.
This event has been going on for many years with all funds raised going to a charity that supports those battling cancer, including end of life care and support for families.
Associate Principal Anisa Lokat-Fanning commented:
“The Macmillan coffee morning was a huge success at the College. All varieties of sweet treats were donated by staff and students. The College community came together and raised £132 for a fantastic and worthy cause. Fundraising is important for College staff and students and something we all like to be involved in. We are already planning our next charity event – Wear it Pink on 22nd October.”
