Visual Arts students at Solihull Sixth Form College visited London at the end of term to visit galleries and museums.
60 Year 12 students on the Art & Design A level and BTEC courses visited the Tate Modern and Design Museums. They visited a wide range of permanent and temporary exhibitions including the Beazley Designs of the Year 2019, Naim June Paik and Olafur Eliasson.
Creative Arts Curriculum Leader Zoe Maksymiw commented: “The students took a great deal of inspiration from the work they saw, which will help support idea development for their personal investigations.”
The College offers three A level Art & Design pathways – Fine Art, Graphics & 3D Design and Photography – as well as a BTEC Extended Diploma in Art & Design. Prospective students wanting to find out more about these and our other courses are encouraged to attend Open Evening on 20 January 2020.
