Esther Hurst joined The Sixth Form College, Solihull from Tudor Grange Academy.
She studied A level French, History and Spanish and achieved all A* and A grades. She also completed her own research in the form of an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and achieved an A* in that too.
She undertook the challenge of applying to Oxbridge and succeeded in getting an offer from the University of Cambridge. Her grades earned her a place at Churchill College, Cambridge, where she is now studying French & Spanish.
“I decided to apply for Cambridge after going on an Open Day organised by the language department at College. It was really useful in helping me decide to apply, as we were able to experience a brilliant sample lecture, which reinforced how interesting and varied the course is. I received a great deal of support from the College throughout the process, which helped to prepare me for the interview.”
