Bridging the Gap

BRIDGING THE GAP – Year 11 to Year 12

To ensure students are ready for the challenge of advanced level study and to keep them stimulated between finishing their GCSE courses and the end of the 2020/21 academic year, we have produced some study materials for each of our courses. These materials include suggested reading, activities and areas of research. We hope that students will take advantage of these resources to ensure they are as well prepared to start their A level, BTEC or CACHE study as they can be in September. In June all prospective students will be given a summer homework for each of their courses. The summer homeworks must be completed prior to the commencement of Year 12 studies.

The Government have confirmed that GCSE results will be published earlier than planned on 12 August 2021. Pre enrolment opens from 12 August and Year 12 enrolment for the 2020/21 academic year will take place on 1 and 2 September. Our entry requirements remain the same. Students will need to attain the required grades in their GCSEs in order to access courses and all offers are conditional on students meeting entry criteria.
