Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

The College is committed to ensuring that students with special educational needs and / or disability, medical condition or mental health condition are treated fairly, supported well and reasonable adjustments applied as necessary to enable them to achieve their potential.

Students with a special educational need or disability are encouraged to disclose this at the earliest opportunity to allow appropriate support to be agreed and implemented and any necessary risk assessments to be put in place.

Students with individual learning needs are offered specific support through our Additional Learning Team. For further information contact Caroline Sweeney.

To find out more about how we approach Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, see our SEND Policy.

Talking: The Counselling Service

Counsellors
Julie Maitland
Sonia Ngetu

The counsellors offer confidential support on any issues including work or exam stress, relationships with friends or family, anxiety or depression, or anything, however small, you would like to talk about.

A Counsellor will not tell you what to do but listen with respect and help you to make your own choices and decisions. The service is free and available to all students. We are based in the Malvern Building. Appointments can only be made via counselling email.

Waiting time varies depending on the time of year, however a counsellor will reply to you within a week and assessments offered as soon as possible.
