Academic Guidance

Academic Guidance provides structured support for students through their time at the College. It is designed to help students complete their programme of study successfully and to make informed choices about progression.

Its main focus is the progress of individual students. As a student you can expect:
  • An induction programme to help you adjust to the new environment and new programmes of study.
  • Weekly tutorials, which will keep you informed of key developments in College.
  • Regular one-to-one meetings with your tutor.
  • Help to set and work towards individual academic and progression goals.
  • Regular monitoring and reviews of your progress and attendance.
  • Reports to parents on progress and attendance.
  • Support in applying for employment and Higher Education.

In addition your tutor is the first port of call for more general or personal issues that have an impact on your work.  Where appropriate you can be referred to the more specialist help.
