Student Testimony

If you want to know what it’s really like at the College, who better to ask than existing students? All the students below were in Year 13 during the 2010/2011 academic year. This is what they thought about their time at the College.

“I loved studying Dance at the College. The best thing was all the opportunities the course offers you, like going on trips to performances of Richard Alston and the Royal Ballet; they were inspiring. I also had support and guidance from an amazing teacher; who was an inspiration. Without all the extra hours I was able to spend in the Dance Studio I would not have had the confidence to even apply to vocational dance schools.”

Anna Carmichael

“The best thing about the College was being able to select and study subjects that really interested me. These subjects were taught by knowledgeable and enthusiastic teachers, which helped me to develop a deeper knowledge. Additionally, studying in a large College, more akin to that of a university, has enabled me to take responsibility for my learning and therefore enable me to progress the study and personal skills essential for excelling in university and life beyond.”

Georgina Mynott

“I enjoyed gaining responsibility at College. It helped me to be more independent and take responsibility for my learning. The teachers are really supportive and give lots of extra support outside of lesson time to help us achieve. I also really enjoyed taking part in a foreign exchange and found that this was an excellent opportunity.”
