The Third Team are the ones celebrating the most; they won the British Colleges Division 3 after beating King Edwards Nuneaton Second Team 2-0. It was the very first season of running a third team at the College.

The First Team were playing in the British Colleges Premier League for the first time and finished a very creditable third, after losing their last game of the season 2-1 to the champions Hereford. Meanwhile, the Second Team finished second in the British Colleges Division 1, after drawing 5-5 against the champions King Edwards Nuneaton First Team.

Jez Ingram, UEFA ‘A’ Coach/Tutor said, “Well done to all three teams. For the First Team, if they had won this game they would have been crowned champions themselves. It was close, but third place is fantastic considering that this was the first time we had played in this League. The Second Team’s efforts are another fantastic achievement, considering our Second Team played mostly against other Colleges first teams all season.”

Mark Stanion was the College’s top goal scorer for the season, with 18 goals, after scoring twice in the thrilling 5-5 draw against King Edwards Nuneaton.

Jez Ingram, UEFA ‘A’ Coach/Tutor said, ‘’I’m proud of the players, after a very successful season, and it comes on the back of our League and Cup double-winning team last year. As well as all these matches, all our Year 12 players have also had the opportunity to take the FA Level 1 in Coaching Football award this year.”
