How to Apply
The Sixth Form College, Solihull will support you every step of the way in your application to come to the College.STEP 1:
Make sure you have read the detailed information on the website, including the information about courses and accommodation. Remember we can only accept applications from those students who are from European Union (EU) countries and who have been resident in the EU for the past three years. STEP 2:
Fill in one of our international application forms - click here to fill in the form online. We will send you a letter confirming we have received your application and letting you know of any further information we may require.
STEP 3:
We will read your application carefully and if possible get a reference from your school. We may request samples of your recent work and a copy of the syllabus you are currently studying. It may be necessary for you to complete a short written assignment and/or have a preliminary interview by telephone to help us make a judgement on your level of English. This will help us to determine whether you would be able to succeed on one of our courses.
STEP 4:
If you fulfil the entry requirements we will send you a letter offering you a provisional place.
STEP 5:
You will be required to come to the UK in August for a formal interview to confirm your place. It may be necessary to complete an English test at this time to confirm your competency with the language and identify your support needs (go to www.ielts.org for further information).
STEP 6:
At the end of August there will be an optional induction week for international students. This will focus on improving your English (if necessary) and getting to know the College and the local area (including visits to local places of interest). Following this you will enrol on your chosen programme of study.
