Entry Requirements

There is a minimum requirement to be accepted onto any programme of study. For those students coming to us from overseas individual consideration is given to their current education to ensure that the programme applied for is suitable to their abilities and aspirations.

Those students for whom English is not their first language will have to display a certain level of competency in English in order to study at the College. IELTS is the International English Language Testing System. It measures ability to communicate in English across all four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking – for people who intend to study or work where English is the language of communication. We ask for a minimum IELTS score of 5.0. For those students who have not taken an IELTS test, we will ask them to complete a 10-minute free writing exercise. This will take place at the application stage and can simply be emailed to us, although students will be asked to repeat it when they arrive in the UK to enrol.
